MORE ABOUT THE PROPERTY

It has been a LONG time since Tuesday night when we made an offer on that little bit of ground out in the country. Every evening and every morning I thought, "We'll find out if the offer has been accepted TODAY!" But no phone call ever game.
The offer ran out today (Friday) at noon.
I was already convinced that they owners weren't going to respond and by noon, they hadn't.
I prayed all the way to work this morning...at 5 a.m....that they WOULD respond but more importantly, that I wouldn't act like a spoiled brat and be grouchy that I didn't get the land.

At around 2:45 this afternoon, Roger called and acted all down in the dumps. THEN, the little stinker, he said that we have a counter offer! I asked him what it was and then said, "Please, please, please take it!!" I have NO idea why it came in so late but I don't care! Maybe God was testing me! Maybe God was trying to prove to ME that I can be nice when I'm grumpy....Hmmm...what a concept....

Tomorrow we sign the counter offer and fax it off to the selling realtor!! WooHoo!!

It's pretty late and I have to get up in 6 hours to go back to work so I need to go to bed.
I just couldn't wait to share our news!
Blessings,
Beth

  1. You poor girl! Hang in there!

For some odd reason, we've never had to wait and wait to hear about our offers but we did have to wait and wait to get a land home package all set up! What a long trial that was because they always said "next month, next month" but instead it was a year and a half before it was all said and done! ♥

  3. Hello Beth,
I hope I am commenting on the right post. I love that story of Ruth...it really exhibits a faithful heart. Which is an awesome characteristic to possess. Also, I wanted to say thank you for stopping by my blog site.
I was really blessed by your comments and I am thrilled to have you as a follower.

I am a caretaker of an individual with an Intellectual disability as well. I love caring for that population of beautiful people. We recently went to the General Assembly to advocate for their cause and our sentiments were, "Mental Health Matters!!!"

By the way I do agree with your husband, I think,"love is a decision." However, I with you I love the feeling too!!

    Blessings In Your Day,
In Christ, Penny (smiles to you)
