Mommy and her Mom holding the precious little bundle! I wish I could have looked as well as Holly did an hour after delivery!! She even had her makeup on!!
He is having a little trouble with his blood sugar right now and he is being monitored for a little while. I was able to hold him for a bit but we weren't really able to spend much time with him yet because of them "working" on him. We think every thing will be ok...he's a little early...
I am so grateful for the blessing that he and his big brother Dylan have been to our family! It is incredible that those little boys are our Grandsons! Of course, we have Seraphina, our one year old little granddaughter, who is equally incredible...and Lord willing, we will have another grandbaby in June!
Proverbs 17:16 Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.
I don't really consider us to be "old" yet...maybe by Biblical standards we could be, but I am certainly understanding the meaning in these verses. What blessings and jewels in our crowns are these children!!
Congratulations Beth and family... as I type this one handed, I am feeding my boy, just over two weeks old now and still loving every moment of these precious early weeks even the sleep deprived ones! I also love that verse in Proverbs, knowing that God willing with seven of my own, my husband and I will be blessed one day with lots of grandchildren. I'm already thinking that our 8 seat dining table is too small! I do know why we have a big house though! I'm sure your home is going to be such a wonderful place for the grandchildren to come and visit. My husband's father arrives on the 23 Jan from NZ for a quick visit taking a break from his fishing and golf to come and see us. My own mum in the UK is almost 80 but she will not travel outside of her own neighbourhood - too nervous, rather than frail, which is sad as she has missed out on her grandchildren too.
ReplyDeleteWelcome, Brody! We're glad you're here!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Beth, your hair is gorgeous! I really, really love it!
Have I used enough exclamation points in this comment?
What a beautiful baby♥ I have been praying for this little one's safe arrival and I was so pleased to be able to come on this morning and see pictures!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy that little mite, Gramma;)
Thank you all for your precious comments! Ann...we bought a table for 14 two years ago...We have ALREADY outgrown it!!! I hope your family and parents can enjoy your baby and other siblings! I think of you often...with your blessing! I'm still jealous! Not not in a hateful way. I had to have a hysterectomy a year ago and I wish I could have had one more. Maybe through adoption...or at the very least, though our grown children! Blessings...every one!!
ReplyDeletePersuaded...Thanks for your prayers. I know that this baby of mine reminded you of your friend's baby in heaven. I'm praying for them as well.
Brody is soooo wonderful! I am already enjoying him! Thanks!
Missy! Thank you for all your comments! My little Grandboy is wonderful! I got to hold him again late tonight! (My hair is taking me some getting used to...but I think I like it!)
