HERE IT IS!!! My "100th" Post Apron Giveaway!!

Wow...I can't believe I have actually posted 100 times on my little blog! Good grief, what in the world did I feel like I wanted to say? Not much, I realize, but it is fun to talk to you all and read your posts. So, here it is, my homemade APRON!

I am NOT a seamstress so...don't expect perfection. I have had a nice time today finishing it. Becca wants me to get busy making hers, too! (We both bought aprons to make while we were on a field trip to the Amish area in northern Indiana. I decided to make and give mine...I have yet to make hers!! Maybe next week!)

So, here's the rules...if you comment, become a "follower" (sounds ominous, doesn't it???), or if you already follow my blog, you can win my apron. You can comment every day for an extra chance to win.
I'm planning to add some other "fun" stuff to the apron giveaway as I get things made or come up with other fun things as a surprise to the winner.
I wish I had a whole lot of aprons to make and give away...I appreciate so many of the comments and the blogs that I would love to do something nice for everyone!

Love in Christ,

Beth

  3. You do beautiful work! I am answering your comment you left on my blog. I am from Indiana originaly. I was born in Madison (we could look out our back door and see the Ohio river) My parents still live just outside Madison. I went to Ball State University. Any way back to my reply. SOS does take alot of time but My daughter loves being on the computer. I think they may have a demo on the website but not sure, sorry didn't check before I decided to reply. You may have to try a few things till you hit on the right thing for your daughter. I know it is frustrating for both you and your daughter. I personally use a combo of things beside SOS, for English I just have my daughter read books and sometimes write a book report or sometimes do a book study (a great place to get book studies is http://www.glencoe.com/sec/literature/litlibrary/ plus it's free), I also do current events (http://learning.blogs.nytimes.com/), Music studies ( http://www.classicsforkids.com/shows/showview.asp?ID=16). art and I have her watch at least one documentary a week. These help break up the days a bit. Remember you are the teacher. One thing about SOS is as the teacher you have control over what she needs to do when she needs to do it. But it isn't for every one. My Son flourished on SOS, My oldest daughter did horribly. My youngest does better in some subjects. I also have a rule that she needs to have a B on the current lesson before she goes on that way she works on something until she has some understanding of it instead of just having her do the lesson and moving on. Hope this helps and I probably will be visiting your blog from time to time. Good luck
